Our Story
At Resilient Roots, we’re passionate about transforming not just the educational experience, but the lives of children and their families as a whole. While we operate as a non-traditional educational setting, our mission extends far beyond academics. We believe lasting progress comes from consistent, connected support across all areas of a child’s life.
As both professionals and parents of neurodiverse children, with over 20 years of combined experience, we’ve seen the harm that comes from isolating success to just one setting. That’s why we prioritize holistic development, nurturing emotional growth, family connection, and daily life skills alongside education.
We create an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive. Through personalized learning and wraparound family support, we walk alongside each student’s journey, advocating, believing, and building the resilience that fuels real and lasting growth.
Our History
Established in 2025, Resilient Roots is a registered non-profit based in Ericeira, Portugal. Founded by professionals with deep expertise in whole-brain education and socio-emotional development for neurodiverse learners, Resilient Roots was created to provide individualized support through small ratios, hands-on experiences, and a project-based approach. With a team that sees the limitless potential in every child, we are proud to serve a diverse community through a personalized, responsive education model.
Our Methodology
Looking beyond academics, we incorporate socio-emotional tools and skills, multi-sensory stimulation and activation, and tailored support for each individual.
